Font Friday: Great New Modern Script Fonts
One of my favorite things are fonts and I used to post a #fontfriday post every Friday. This year I want to make it easier for you to find great fonts and grouping them together. So instead of posting fonts EVERY Friday, I am going to start posting once a month, on the first Friday. It was a bit crazy last week, but I promise you will love what I have up my sleeve for Valentine's on February 2nd!
So to kick it off this year, let's round up some of my favorite new script fonts. I have really been loving script fonts lately and there has been a shift to more modern calligraphy. Well, more like a hard turn. As much as I would love to do it myself, my skills aren't quite at the hand-letter-everything-I-own level yet, and I'm guessing you might not be there either (@thetownserif and @afabulousfete excluded 'cause they are the only girls I know who are welcome to come over to my house and letter ALL the things). So while we practice our own skills, why not cheat a little and use these instead? My favorite use for these are place cards or gift tags. Print these out on a thin watercolor paper from your home printer and dab a bit of paint or gold leaf on the edge. It will look like you did it yourself, and when they ask you if you did, technically you can say yes.
My personal favorite of these is the Rare Bird Specimen by Rare Bird Font Foundry. This font came out last year and I'm obsessed with it. The detail of each letter is crafted so beautifully by the girls over at FotoRx, who also create workshops and Photoshop presets to make your feed the loveliest and dreamiest ever.

I hope you enjoy and I would love to see what you make with these! Happy Friday!
